Back in September we said …
But… What Happens When It Rains

Cold, wet weather can make it difficult for visiting groups and individuals. Having a dry, warm, indoor creative space will allow people to stay longer and to learn new skills in a well equipped space without struggling to do things in wet raincoats with cold fingers. Our staff and visitors will benefit from a dedicated space focusing on using natural materials from the farm e.g. wool for spinning, weaving and felting.
We raised over £8000 through a crowd funding campaign
We are really grateful to 54 supporters of the campaign. We had small donations and extra funding through West Country Fruit Sales, Teignbridge District Council and Exeter City Council. We loved all the supportive comments
So many live life in an urban bubble these days so getting people back in touch with the countryside is really important, and this charity makes a real difference to many in need of help yet who at the same time can teach us so much. But working in the cold and wet can dampen any enthusiasm!

Love what they do outside and it would be great to know that this creative work could continue during snow, showers and thunderstorms!

I simply wish to support these lovely creative people. It’s a great project, well done to everyone involved.

Now the work is starting!
It is great to announce that the work is starting.
“First use of the crowdfunding in the grain barn improvements. So we now have power sockets and lighting installed and working upstairs. Also the farm machinery has been dismantled and is ready to come down when the window is being replaced, very soon.”
