School Visit to West Town Farm

The children really enjoyed the farm tour. The way different elements were incorporated into the tour, such as questioning, drama, physical activity, sampling of local produce and feeding the livestock, really captured and held the children’s interest. The afternoon session also worked well with the rotation of short activities. The children loved the fact they gathered ingredients for their soup, prepared them, watched them being cooked and then got to eat the finished product- something they would never even of being willing to try in school!
