Raku away day with Exmouth ceramic group
and Surprise Birthday Raku day
2018 Summer Workshops led by Lucy Rockliffe
June 17th we hosted the annual Raku away day with the Exmouth Ceramic Group.
OrganicARTS provides the outdoor setting which most pottery workshops do not have for smoke firing and Raku. This is always a very exciting day of discovery where participants bring their bisque fired pots and sculptures for quick firing in our gas fired raku kilns. Lucy provides glazes and pre made pots if this is a first time experience and some guidance on the techniques used.
Lucy also ran a few short 5 week drop in courses for Raku and smoke firing through making in clay and learning about experimental firings.
If you want to know more about group Raku and smoke firing events or would like to book up a day from April 2019 please contact Lucy Rockliffe through organicARTS.
