An Unforgettable adventure
Year 5 had an unforgettable adventure with organicARTS this week, inspired by “Where My Wellies Take Me” by Michael and Clare Morpurgo.
On Tuesday, they headed to West Town Farm in Ide with organicARTS. Here, the children created beautiful hand-drawn maps using natural treasures like leaves, mud, and blackberries to bring their sketches to life as their journey took them along an old railway line, tumbling down a hill, and even to the pig pens where they fed the pigs chopped potatoes!
The children harvested apples from the orchard, pressed them into juice, and ended the day gathered around the fire, tasting the fruits of their hard work. A wonderful day of creativity, exploration, and connecting with nature.
