organicARTS is recruiting! We are looking for an inspirational, creative individual to help to run our Makers Group on a Thursday.
The Makers’ Group is a weekly creative and social group. The group provides a regular weekly creative session for individuals who are lonely or socially isolated and those who are in recovery from mental or physical ill health. Our creativity is inspired by the farm, our
surroundings, nature and the seasons. We use materials we can produce on the farm to create our artwork, such as wool, willow, earth to make chalks and pigments and plants to make natural dyes and inks. Our aim is to improve the confidence and feelings of self-worth within the individuals who attend the group. We do this by teaching new skills and creative processes, offering a warm, welcoming and friendly atmosphere to socialise, and by giving an opportunity to make, market and sell the artwork created. We are a no judgment space and believe that every person had the ability to create something unique and valuable.
The group members meet every Thursday from 10:30-1:30 and we try to run sessions outdoors and surrounded by nature whenever possible.
Please send your CV and a covering letter telling us why you’re the person for the job, to philiy@organicarts.org.uk by Sunday 19th March.
