DEBI (Devon Environmental Business Initiative) have annual awards. This year organicARTS has won the DEBI Award Enjoyed in Devon category! It is great to have recognition from the wider community for all the work we do.
The DEBI judges said
At a time when time spent outdoors in the environment is under pressure, particularly among young people, organicARTS is playing an invaluable role in introducing and inspiring people to connect to the land. Refusing to be constrained to working with one group of people or on one project, organicARTS welcomes a diverse mix of people each week to West Town Farm just outside of Exeter. Here they run an eclectic mix of hands-on education, arts and horticulture programmes. This not only creates that much needed contact with nature but in many cases builds confidence and life skills that help to realise a person’s potential.
The judges were very impressed with the enthusiasm and dedication of the team and felt they had gone above and beyond in terms of environmental sustainability. And that West Town Farm was an invaluable resource for those who have little other contact with nature.

“Congratulations – so good to get this recognition for all the great stuff organicARTS deliver at West Town Farm. I knew it was special from the first moment I visited. It is great to receive this DEBI Award as a wider acknowledgement of all your efforts! Well done guys & girls!”
