organicARTS<\/strong> at West Town Farm is currently developing its Pottery Workshop<\/strong> into an exciting resource for its community and educational work for all, groups and individuals. To launch the pottery this summer we are also offering a series of workshops to the public run by experts in their fields.<\/p>\n

Sun 22nd April 11.00-3.00<\/em> Drop in Tile making Workshop<\/strong> for families at Spring at the Farm, farm open day. Entry to the farm is \u00a34 for an adult, \u00a33 for a child or \u00a310 for a family (maximum two adults and three children).<\/p>\n

Sat 5th May 10.00 -1.00\u00a0<\/em>Taster Introductory to Clay<\/strong> with Lucy Rockliffe. Handbuilding. \u00a320<\/p>\n

\nSunday 10th June 10.30\u00a0<\/em>Demonstration in the Pottery<\/strong> by Douglas Fitch, Devon potter internationally known, who uses locally dug clay and slip decoration. A chance to ask him questions, view and buy his work. \u00a315<\/p>\n

Sat 14th July\u00a0<\/em>Introduction to mold making and slip casting<\/strong> with RA trained sculptor Adam Graddon. Adam has worked for the late Emmanuel Cooper making molds and slip casting, and will take you through all the processes of casting. \u00a340 for the day.<\/p>\n

Sat 21st July 1.00-4.00\u00a0<\/em>Figurative Sculpture in Clay<\/strong> from life model led by experienced artist Sarah John. This is for beginners and the more experienced. \u00a327 inc. materials. Firing service offered<\/p>\n

Sat 4th August\u00a0<\/em>Introductory Raku and smoke firing<\/strong> for those who have attended Taster intro or those who have suitable bisc ware for Raku. \u00a335<\/p>\n

Wednesdays 10.30-12.30 and 1.30-3.30<\/em>\u00a0Drop in Sessions<\/strong> are available from May till end of July.
\nLucy Rockliffe will be in the Pottery at these times. Information on request. Book time in before session.<\/p>\n

Thursdays in May and June 4-5.30<\/em> Lucy will be running an After School Club<\/strong> offered to Ide Primary pupils. Information on request
\nBooking in advance is essential as spaces are limited. If there are not enough bookings for a workshop, organicARTS will cancel a week before session.<\/p>\n
