We set up a base camp next the stream in Easterbrooks. Fire bucket, birdsong, herb collection, honeycomb, overhead canopy provided a sensory experience very different to the classroom. The students rode in the chariot, now renamed the iBex, around the field. The motion of the chariot was again very different to their normal experience of being in their wheelchair. It was great to hear an unprompted “I want another go!” from a young lad for whom unprompted speech is a distinct rarity. We are looking forward to developing links with Ellen Tinkham and the Hollow Lane Summer Club

.

We had a great session with three students from Ellen Tinkham School in Exeter.
