We are ..

an educational charity involving you in creative farm based learning for a healthy future

organicARTS is an educational charity that promotes the arts and rural issues through educational visits and walks, classes, workshops, community projects, exhibitions and performances. These take place at West Town Farm and in the wider community.

organicARTS is run by experienced educators and artists who are supported by a wide network of volunteers and a group of dedicated trustees. Meet the team here

What do we do?

We have a wide experience of working with groups from nursery, through primary and secondary up to college and beyond! Our work with the community sees us supporting adults who might be vulnerable through mental or physical health challenges. We work creatively with everyone! The environment of West Town Farm allows us a rich variety of opportunities and our team of educators and artists enjoy creating bespoke experiences.

Where is organicARTS based?

organicARTS is based at West Town Farm in Ide. The farm is a working organic farm in a rural landscape on the edge of the Teignbridge boundaries and yet only 3 miles from Exeter. It has 160 acres all of which are accessible for visiting groups and individuals. In this sense it is a unique centre having an integrated approach involving the combination of a rural site involving the working farm with education and the arts. The farm has incredible range of locations including an old railway cutting, newly planted orchard, stream, meadows and woodland.
