Project: Organic Learning - Mind Maps

Organic Learning

What do you know about ......?

Organic Learning is based around the use of shared mind maps to gather, organise and share ideas. It is open for anyone to contribute to and is specifically to support groups before and after they carry out a farm visit.

This page is the home page for the project. Each map is a seperate project based on the different themes of Farm Visits. Groups explore mind mapping before their visit and then add ideas as they discover more.

Organic Learning uses MindMeister to create the maps and instructions on how to contribute are underneath the maps

Cow Tales

This project is being developed by Kevin Cotter who says ...

"If you would like to edit any of these maps then follow the simple steps below. If you are under 16 please work with an adult to do this.

  • visit www.mindmeister.com and sign up for a free account
  • email me at kevin@organicarts.org.uk and introduce yourself
  • I will add you as someone with shared access
  • Log in and add your ideas!!
  • Easy!! If you would like to embed the map on your own website, maybe a school site to support writing and research, then click the blue share button at the bottom of the map. The next two buttons zoom in and out and the fourth opens the map in a new window.

I am trialling this use of MindMeister as it seems to be very straightforward and easy to use. The process of sharing and editing mindmaps has a lot of potential and I would be very interested in your feedback."
