Family Bush Craft Day

It was a day for all ages to get outdoors and try lighting fires without matches and for those feeling brave enough, try the Bush Tucker Challenge.

We had lots of fun trying out different ways of lighting fires, including a rather impressive fire by friction demo 

We experimented with using materials and tinder that we might find on our walks in the country, to help us start our fires. Then we cooked damper bread wound around sticks over our fires and had a lovely time in the woods enjoying spending time ‘getting back to nature’.
